بيبليوغرافيا خاصة بأعمال الباحثين الغربيين حول تاريخ الرياضيات العربية الإسلامية

هذه الوراقية(البيبليوغرافيا)مخصصة لمجموعة من أعمال الباحثين الغربيين الذين اهتموا بتاريخ الأنشطة الرياضية داخل الحضارة العربية الإسلامية، ولا تضم الأعمال التي تتسم بالطابع الموسوعي أو العام، أي تلك الأعمال التي قد تضم بين ثناياها فقرات حول الرياضيات العربية الإسلامية أو أفكارا وآراء منثورة هنا وهناك حول بعض الإسهامات أو الأفكار الخاصة بالرياضيين المنتمين لهذه الحضارة، وإنما تم إدراج الأعمال التي بدت لنا أكثر تخصصا في هذا المبحث.كما أننا لم ندرج أعمال الباحثين العرب الذين نشروا أعمالهم العلمية بلغات أجنبية.

وقد أدرجنا أسماء المؤلفين مرتبة حسب الترتيب الأبجدي، بادئين بالأسماء العائلية، متبعين إياها بالأسماء الشخصية، وفي حال وجود أكثر من إنتاج علمي لنفس المؤلف، قمنا بترتيب تلك الأعمال حسب تاريخ صدورها. وبما أننا اعتمدنا تاريخ الصدور فإننا لم نميز بين الكتب أو الأعمال المنشورة في الدوريات والمجلات العلمية.كما لم نميز بين اللغات المختلفة التي كتبت بها هذه الأعمال.

       ولا ندعي هنا أننا قمنا بحصر كل ما أنتج من لدن المستشرقين حول تاريخ الرياضيات العربية الإسلامية، وإنما جمعنا ما استطعنا الحصول عليه، معتمدين في ذلك على مجموعة من المراجع المتخصصة في تاريخ العلوم داخل الحضارة العربية الإسلامية، نشير من بينها إلى عملين استفدنا منهما كثيرا هما: البيبلوغرافيا النقدية التي أنجزها مؤرخ العلوم الأستاذ محمد أبطوي[1] والبيبليوعرافيا المخصصة لتاريخ الرياضيات العربية التي أنجزها مؤرخ الرياضيات العربية يان هوخندايك[2].
